A potluck sign-up sheet that’s just a link

The moment someone claims Dessert, everyone else sees it taken — no duplicate pies, no reply-all “I’ll bring chips” messages to reconcile. Each group of slots shows a counter (4/6 filled), so what still needs a volunteer is obvious at a glance.
Sign up your spouse, fix a name, swap dishes
Real potlucks are messy: people volunteer their partner, plans change, someone trades sides for a main. Tap any name to change it, tap a note to update the dish, or clear a slot so someone else can take it. High trust by design — the sheet works like a paper one, minus the pen.
Not everything is a slot
The same list holds ordinary checklist items (“napkins”, “folding tables”) and notes (“address and gate code”, “no nuts please — allergy”). One link carries the whole event.

- No. The link is the whole system — open it, tap Sign up, type your name once, done.
- Can I sign someone else up?
- Yes. Claim the slot, then tap the name to change it — signing up a spouse or a kid is normal.
- What if two people claim the same slot at once?
- One claim lands and everyone sees it instantly; the other person sees the slot already filled and picks another.
